Starting with only 5 employees in 1974, RR Donnelley Post Plant is established as the commercial print division of the West Bend News. In 1984, Post installs its first 4/C press and grows the business to $800M annually. This was a pinnacle turning point, as it helps create a clear vision for future growth. That vision becomes a reality by 1996, when sales increase to $8MM annually! Post develops a strategy for continued growth by servicing a national market. They solicit several larger commercial print organizations, with abundant resources, for acquisition. By the fall of 1996, plans are finalized for Wallace to acquire Post. As the first commercial print acquisition made by Wallace, Post becomes a benchmark for determining the viability of pursuing additional commercial print acquisitions. Post capitalizes on the opportunity by putting an emphasis on providing value added products and exceptional service to develop strong working relationships with Account Executives and their clients. In 2003, Moore/Wallace combines and becomes one of the world's largest integrated providers of commercial print, direct mail, forms, labels, fulfillment and distribution services. In 2004, the combination of RR Donnelley/Moore Wallace creates the largest printing company in the world! Blending the strengths of RR Donnelley in the book, catalog and magazine markets with Moore Wallace's forte in commercial print, outsourced customer and financial statement printing, personalized forms and labels. Cross Marketing of capabilities with existing clients of both organizations, becomes a key advantage for our clients. Today, RR Donnelley Post Plant generates over $26MM annually, employing over 130 people.
